Collections Across Portsmouth
Request collection from homes, shops, offices, workshops and commercial premises. Tell us where the goods will be handed over and provide a contact who can release them.
For a shared building, include the company, floor and reception instructions. For a warehouse or industrial unit, specify the unit number, loading entrance and any collection reference. A precise handover point helps avoid unnecessary searching or waiting.
Parts and Technical Supplies
Arrange transport for replacement components, packed tools and equipment needed at another site. Confirm that supplier orders are ready and provide their release instructions.
Documents and Customer Orders
Send signed paperwork, boxed orders and business supplies to a named recipient. Include receiving hours and any appointment or delivery reference.
Larger Business Loads
Request delivery of packed stock, equipment and palletised consignments. Share the load dimensions, total weight and loading arrangements before choosing a vehicle.
Port and Marine Business Deliveries
For a delivery connected with a vessel or marine business, identify the company or agent receiving the goods. Provide the exact handover address, reference and contact details rather than only a vessel name.
Confirm whether delivery is to an accessible office, warehouse or a restricted location. Dockside entry, security clearance, customs procedures and other specialist arrangements must be agreed before booking.
Prepare for a Time-Critical Handover
If an item is needed before a scheduled departure, appointment or closing time, email info@samedayrun.co.uk with both addresses, the item details and the latest acceptable arrival time.
Include the time needed for reception or unloading. A delivery deadline should allow for the actual handover, not simply arrival outside the premises. The calculator provides a route price; fixed timing needs separate confirmation.
Select the Right Vehicle
Measure goods with their packaging and check the combined weight. Explain whether items must remain upright, cannot be stacked or need pallet space. Fragile equipment should be protected for road transport.
Tell us what loading equipment is available at both addresses. Tail-lift requirements, extra carrying assistance, stairs and unusually heavy items need agreement before payment.
Multiple Deliveries and Return Collections
Add delivery destinations to the calculator in your preferred stop order. Label each package for its recipient and provide a separate contact for every destination.
If you need equipment collected in return, discuss the return load and route before booking. Any fixed receiving windows or additional collections should form part of the agreed itinerary.
